In short

  • Voltie is an independent app. It is not made, approved or supported by Tesla.
  • Each licence covers one car. Subscriptions start with a free month and renew automatically until cancelled in the App Store or Google Play.
  • Personal use is included. Ride-hailing, taxi, fleet and other professional use need the Professional plan.
  • Readings and estimates come from Tesla and are approximate. Always check the car itself for anything safety-related.
  • Your legal rights as a consumer always apply.

01Who provides Voltie and what it is

Voltie is provided by Edgar Magalhães, NIF 213036495, Rua Província de Pontevedra, 285, 2 Direito Trás, 4560-496 Penafiel, Portugal, a sole trader (trabalhador independente) in Portugal. Contact: hello@voltie.app.

Voltie is an app for iPhone, Android and the web that connects to the Tesla account you choose. It shows trip, charging and parking history, statistics and estimated costs, and lets you send commands and set up automations for your car.

Voltie is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Tesla, Inc. Tesla and the names of its vehicles are trademarks of Tesla, Inc.

These terms apply to the use of Voltie. By creating an account or subscribing, you accept them. To subscribe, you must be of legal age or have the consent of your legal guardian.

02Your account and Tesla access

To use Voltie you create a Voltie account and connect your Tesla account. You sign in on Tesla’s own page and approve the permissions Voltie asks for. Voltie never sees your Tesla password. Some commands also need Voltie’s virtual key to be added to the car.

You may only connect cars you own or are authorised to use and manage. You are responsible for the car, for keeping your Voltie and Tesla credentials safe and for the activity on your account.

An account belongs to one person. Do not share it or use it on behalf of others. If you believe someone else has accessed your account, change your credentials and write to Voltie.

You can revoke Voltie’s access at any time in your Tesla account’s third-party app settings and remove the virtual key from the car’s Locks screen.

03Licences per vehicle

Each licence covers one vehicle, identified by its VIN. A subscription can cover 1, 2 or 3 cars, with one licence per car.

You can move a licence to another vehicle once every 6 months. On the Professional plan, you can do so once every 7 days.

Beta participants keep their licence until the date they were given, under the beta conditions.

04Prices and subscriptions

Every subscription starts with a 1-month free trial. At the end of the trial, it renews automatically for the period you chose, monthly or yearly, until you cancel.

  • Regular price: per car, monthly or yearly.
  • Founder price: a lower price per car for people who joined the beta waiting list by 31 December 2026. The founder price is kept only while the subscription stays continuously active. If the subscription ends without renewal, the founder price is lost and a new subscription is charged at the regular price in force at that time.
  • Professional: per car, monthly or yearly, for professional use.

The prices are those shown in the App Store or Google Play at the time of purchase and on voltie.app/precos. Prices include VAT. In some countries the stores show prices in local currency. The price shown in the store at the time of purchase prevails.

Payments, renewals and refunds are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play), under their terms and policies. Voltie does not receive your card details.

How to cancel: on iPhone, in Settings, your name, Subscriptions. On Android, in the Google Play app, Payments & subscriptions, Subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the trial or the current period to avoid the next charge. After cancelling, you keep access until the end of the period already paid.

If prices change, the store tells you in advance and, where the law or the store requires it, asks for your agreement. You can cancel before the new price applies.

05Personal use and fair use

The regular and founder plans are for personal use. Ride-hailing (TVDE), taxi, fleets, rental, deliveries and any other professional use require the Professional plan.

If the use of an account appears to be professional, Voltie will tell you by email and give you up to 2 months to switch to the Professional plan or to explain the use. After that period, the account may be blocked.

Do not use Voltie in a way that breaks the law, harms other people, overloads the service, attempts to access data that is not yours or circumvents the licences. Do not resell or share access to Voltie, extract data from it with automated tools, or copy or reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows it.

06The app and its content

While these terms apply, Voltie gives you a personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the app and the features of your plan. The app, its design, code and the Voltie name and logo belong to the seller and its licensors.

Your vehicle data and what you enter remain yours. Voltie uses them only to provide the service, as described in the privacy policy.

07How accurate the data is

Voltie shows the data that Tesla makes available. Energy, consumption, costs, battery health, range, distances and locations are approximate and may contain gaps or delays.

Costs are estimates based on the tariffs you enter. They are not an invoice.

Do not use Voltie to make decisions that affect safety. Always rely on the car itself, its screen and Tesla’s official app.

08Remote commands and automations

You are responsible for the commands you send and the automations you set up, and for making sure they are safe and lawful where the car is. Before acting remotely, make sure no one will be put at risk.

Commands and automations depend on Tesla, the car’s connection and your phone. They may fail, run late or not run at all. Do not rely on Voltie for anything critical, such as locking the car or keeping it charged by a certain time.

09Availability and changes to the service

Voltie depends on Tesla’s Fleet API and on other providers. There may be interruptions, maintenance or failures outside Voltie’s control.

Tesla may change, limit or withdraw features or access at any time. When that happens, some Voltie features may stop working or be removed. Voltie will try to warn you in advance when possible.

Voltie may improve or change features. If a change significantly reduces what you pay for, you can cancel, and your legal rights to a service that conforms to the contract apply.

10Suspension, termination and account deletion

You can stop using Voltie at any time. Cancel the subscription in the store, revoke access in your Tesla account and ask for your account to be deleted.

Account and data deletion follow the privacy policy. To delete your account, write to hello@voltie.app.

Voltie may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, puts the service or other users at risk, or where the law requires it. Unless urgent, Voltie will tell you beforehand and explain why. If the closure is not due to a breach on your part, you keep access until the end of the period already paid or receive a proportional refund.

11Liability

Voltie is provided with care, but cannot guarantee that it will always be available, error-free or that commands will always run.

To the extent permitted by law, Voltie is not liable for losses caused by Tesla, the stores, network operators or other third parties, by commands or automations you set up, or by decisions based on approximate data.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury, for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law. Nothing in these terms removes or limits your legal rights as a consumer, including the rights to a service that conforms to the contract.

12Right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you can withdraw from a subscription within 14 days of subscribing, without giving a reason.

Because every subscription starts with a free month, you can cancel during that period without paying anything.

If a paid period starts within the 14 days, for example because you have already used the trial, Voltie only starts providing the paid service with your express request. If you then withdraw, you may have to pay for the part of the service already provided. Where the law treats the service as digital content, the right of withdrawal ends when the provision starts with your express consent and acknowledgement.

To withdraw, ask for a refund from Apple or Google, or send an unequivocal statement to hello@voltie.app.

13Applicable law and complaints

These terms are governed by Portuguese law. If you are a consumer living in another country, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your country of residence.

If you have a problem, write first to hello@voltie.app. You can also submit a complaint in the Livro de Reclamações Eletrónico.

For out-of-court dispute resolution, consumers can turn to CNIACC, the National Centre for Consumer Dispute Information and Arbitration, with national coverage: www.cniacc.pt, Rua D. Afonso Henriques, 1, 4700-030 Braga.

Consumers living in another EU country, Iceland or Norway can get help from the European Consumer Centres network, in Portugal through the European Consumer Centre Portugal.

14Changes to these terms

Voltie may update these terms, for example when the service, prices or the law change. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version.

Significant changes are announced in the app or by email at least 30 days before they apply. If you do not agree, you can cancel the subscription before the change takes effect.

These terms take effect on 29 October 2026.
